Elopement in New Caledonia
Why an elopement in New Caledonia ?
Before coming to settle in Norway, I lived for almost 2 years on a French island in the Pacific, New Caledonia. This island that the inhabitants also call more intimately “the pebbles” has 270,000 inhabitants in its entirety. Suffice to say that the wedding industry there was very small and lacked a bit of modernity. This is why with La petite fabrique créatrice de grands moments, we wanted to stage this elopement in New Caledonia with an incredible team of wedding service providers.

We wanted to bring a breath of fresh air and offer images that would modernize the wedding and inspire the bridal couple. This beautiful and stylish shoot was shot in Yaté, the south of New Caledonia, it was the perfect setting with its red earth and its enchanted drowned forest.
What we wanted to create for this elopement ?
The choice of decor for this shoot was our first source of inspiration: a huge playground that allowed us to play with the colors, materials, textures and atmosphere of the shoot.
One of our objectives was for this session session to tell a true story of a couple madly in love and eager to unite in a different way, outside of tradition. All the details were therefore important and we thought of a full day, from the preparation to the couple photoshoot as if it were a real wedding day. We also imagined the story of the couple to write their vows.
The bride and groom got ready in Noumea, when they arrived there, they just had to get dressed. An arch was installed for the symbolic ceremony and a tent for the buffet. The table decorations and accessories have been designed in the same tones in keeping with the landscape.
Hoping that this Elopement in New Caledonia will give you all the inspiration you will need.
